The 20-20-20 Rule serves as a practical guideline to alleviate these symptoms; this rule recommends taking a 20-second break from staring at screens every 20 minutes to look at something 20 feet away and blink regularly.

While adhering to the 20-20-20 Rule may sound simple, the reality is that it can be challenging to remember to take these essential breaks amidst our digital tasks. The Eye Reliever app offers a convenient solution by providing a custom looping clock that signals when it's time to pause. Users only need to start the timer and wait for the alerts: a gentle sound notifies you when it's time for a break and again when it's time to resume screen time.

The Eye Reliever app aims to combat two primary issues associated with excessive screen use: dry eyes and eye strain. Reduced blinking rates during intense screen focus can lead to dry eyes due to tear film degradation. The app helps by reminding users to take breaks and blink frequently, preventing eye discomfort.
